About Ember and Insight Counseling
Why You’re Here
Reaching out for therapy feels surprisingly vulnerable. You’ve talked yourself out of it more than once. Wondered whether your problems were “big enough.”
Opened therapist websites, only to close them again because it’s hard to know who might actually understand what you’re carrying.
If that’s where you are, you’re not alone. Most people don’t come to therapy because life has completely fallen apart. They come because they’re tired of repeating the same patterns, having the same arguments, questioning themselves, or carrying everything on their own.
They want something to change. They’re just not sure where to begin.
What It Feels Like To Sit Together
When you arrive for your first session, I’ll come meet you in the waiting room, and we’ll walk back to my office together.
You don’t have to have your story organized or know exactly where to start. Some people begin with a story. Others begin with tears, nervous laughter, or, “I’m not really sure why I’m crying.”
We’ll simply begin with whatever feels most important that day. Every one of those beginnings is welcome.
From the very first session, my hope is that you’ll experience something different from what you’re expecting.
Therapy with me isn’t about being analyzed or judged, and it isn’t about me quietly nodding while you do all the work. It’s a conversation.
I’ll ask thoughtful questions, notice patterns, and help you connect dots that have never been connected before. The things that once felt confusing begin to make sense.
Clients frequently tell me they leave sessions thinking, “I’ve never thought about it that way before,” or “That explains so much.”
I don’t believe people need to be fixed.
I believe they need a safe place to understand themselves, heal what has been hurting, and grow into the person they’ve always been capable of becoming.
Whether we’re working through relationship struggles, ADHD, religious deconstruction, or learning to reconnect with yourself, our work together is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that meaningful change is possible.
What Healing Can Look Like
Over time, those moments of understanding begin turning into something more.
You start recognizing old patterns before they take over. You begin trusting yourself more than you trust your fear. Conversations with your partner become less about winning and more about understanding.
Shame slowly gives way to self-compassion, and you begin showing up differently in your relationships, not because someone told you what to do, but because something inside you has genuinely shifted.
My hope isn’t simply that you feel better after each session, although many people do. It’s that months from now, you look back and realize something fundamental has changed.
You feel more connected to yourself, more grounded in who you are, and more able to meet life’s challenges without losing yourself in the process.
That’s the kind of change we’re working toward. Not just feeling different for an hour, but building a life that feels different long after therapy ends.

About Sarah Gale, Licensed Associate Counselor
At its core, my work is about helping people feel deeply understood. Part of the reason that matters so much to me is that I know what it’s like.
Like many of the people I work with, I’ve experienced seasons of feeling misunderstood and carrying things that were difficult to put into words.
Therapy became part of my own journey, and experiencing its impact firsthand deepened my belief that healing is possible.
Today, I consider it a privilege to offer that same space to others, a place where people feel seen, understood, and supported as they find their way back to themselves and the people who matter most.
I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona, providing in-person therapy in the Chandler/Gilbert area and telehealth for individuals and couples throughout the state. I’m also a Certified ADHD Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and a Somatic EMDR therapist certified through The Embody Lab.
My work is grounded in evidence-based, relationship-centered approaches that help people understand themselves with greater compassion while creating meaningful, lasting change.
When working with couples, I primarily draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT), which both draw heavily from attachment theory and trauma research.
Together, these approaches help couples build emotional safety, understand how early experiences continue to shape their relationship today, and replace old survival patterns with healthier, more connected ways of relating to one another.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll most likely find me with my family.
Some of my favorite moments are the simplest ones, laughing together, being a little silly, and enjoying the kind of connection that reminds me what matters most.
I also never get tired of an Arizona sunset.
Those moments are a daily reminder that healing isn’t just about overcoming pain, it’s about creating a life that’s rich with connection, joy, and belonging.
